The federal government's successor strategy to the Aboriginal Human Resources Development Strategy (AHRDS). Designed to help improve employment opportunities. A minimum level of services will be provided to clients such as:
- Access to advice in their community regarding career and employment possibilities
- On an appointment basis, access to job information by way of local postings or telephone
- Access to local fax and telephone to support job search
- Assistance with preparing applications for education
- Training and employment
- Access to financial assistance on a fair and equitable basis
- Access to Internet self-serve services where they are available.

With respect to funding clients for training, all clients now are required to make an appointment with staff and begin a case management process. The process will ensure the training fits the client’s career goal and that the training involves an occupation where there is a demand for workers. See the website for details.
